Member of the Parliamentary Majority Archil Gorduladze appeals to "Georgian Dream" with the initiative of banning the use of lasers at rallies

The member of the parliamentary majority, Archil Gorduladze, is appealing to the ruling party to ban the use of lasers at rallies. Archil Gorduladze announced the relevant initiative at the session of the Parliament's Legal Affairs Committee.

According to him, the participants of the rally often shine lasers at law enforcement officers and surveillance cameras, which is a hindering factor for the police.

"Practice has shown that lasers and lights are often used during gatherings, which in turn creates problems for the activities of the bodies whose responsibility is to ensure the life and health of people and to prevent relevant offenses. These lasers are often used to illuminate be on different cameras that provide surveillance. At the same time, law enforcement officers have less opportunity to carry out their activities while the lasers are lit. We suggest that lasers are not allowed during gatherings," said Gorduladze.
