The Minister of Internal Affairs will determine the list of those persons present at the gathering-demonstration, who will have the right to cover their faces due to their professional activities. Also, the Minister of Internal Affairs determines the rules and conditions for issuing the relevant permit to such persons.

It will be prohibited for any other person to cover their face with a mask or any other means during the rallies.

With this content, the planned amendments to the law "On Assemblies and Manifestations" were reworked, which the Parliament will see in an accelerated manner.

According to the original version of the draft law, only pyrotechnics were prohibited for demonstrators during gatherings and demonstrations, and pyrotechnic articles were added to the list of prohibited items, such as: - firearms, explosives, flammable, radioactive substances and cold weapons.

During the review process, the draft law was changed. In addition to pyrotechnic products, the participants of the rally are also prohibited from having laser and any means with sharp radiation, "the use of which may interfere with the activities of the representatives of the state agencies and the proper functioning of the technical means at their disposal".

It is also forbidden to cover the face with a mask or any other means.

According to the draft law, the list of persons present at the demonstration, who may be covered due to their professional activities during the gathering or demonstration, as well as the rules and conditions for issuing the relevant permit to these persons, will be determined by the Minister of Internal Affairs.

The Parliament has already adopted the legislative package in the second reading. It will be approved in the third reading today.

The law will come into force immediately after its publication.
