"Gakharia for Georgia": the presidential election scheduled for December 14 is illegitimate - we declare that we do not participate in the illegal process of its election and do not recognize the decisions of the de facto, illegitimate parliament

The presidential elections scheduled for December 14 are illegitimate - we once again declare that the party "Gakharia for Georgia" does not participate in the illegal process of electing the president and does not recognize the actions and decisions made by the de facto, illegitimate parliament, including the illegally elected president, - about this the party "Gakharia for Georgia" it is mentioned in the statement.

According to their reports, on the one hand, the planned presidential elections are being held outside the constitution, within the framework of the illegitimate parliament, and on the other hand, such one-party elections fundamentally contradict the constitutional principles.

The party notes that in order to get the country out of the severe systemic crisis, it is necessary to fulfill two main conditions - the release of the detainees and the appointment of new elections.

"Gakharia for Georgia" political party once again expresses our strong position and emphatically explains that "Georgian Dream" together with the Central Election Commission and other hijacked state agencies stole the right of free choice from the Georgian people and brought the country into a serious systemic crisis. We do not recognize the legitimacy of the election results and therefore the parliament, nor the legitimacy of any body illegally elected by an illegitimate parliament.

The presidential elections scheduled for December 14 are illegitimate because, on the one hand, the elections are held outside the constitution, within the framework of the illegitimate parliament, and on the other hand, such one-party elections fundamentally contradict the constitutional principles, according to which the president in a parliamentary republic should be elected in an inclusive manner and as a result of broad political consensus.

Accordingly, we declare once again that the party "Gakharia for Georgia" does not participate in the illegal process of electing the president and does not recognize the actions and decisions made by the de facto, illegitimate parliament, including the illegally elected president.

In order to get the country out of the severe systemic crisis, it is necessary to fulfill two main conditions:

Immediately and unconditionally, the persons illegally arrested during the protests, who were made hostages of the system by the "dream" government, should be released.

New elections must be held under the conditions of a balanced election administration and politically neutral state structures," the party's statement said.
