The bill, according to which it is forbidden to cover the face with a mask and use pyrotechnics at rallies, was approved in the final reading - in case of their use, the protester will be fined 2,000 GEL
According to the decision of the Parliament, it was forbidden to cover the assembly with a face mask or any other means during the demonstrations. Pyrotechnics, laser and any means with sharp radiation have been added to the list of prohibited items. In case of their use, the participant of the action will be fined in the amount of 2,000 GEL.
The package of legislative changes initiated by "Georgian Dream" was approved unanimously in the final, third reading, with 83 votes.
Gathering - the list of persons present at the demonstration, who will have the right to cover their faces due to their professional activities, will be established by the Minister of Internal Affairs. Also, the Minister of Internal Affairs determines the rules and conditions for issuing the relevant permit to such persons.
Considering the same package, the import, export, production and sale of pyrotechnic products in Georgia will be allowed on the basis of a special permit/license.
