David Matikashvili, a member of the "Georgian Dream" party, praised Mikheil Kavelashvili, who is being elected as the president of the country by the electoral college formed in Parliament:

"Mikheil Kavelashvili will undoubtedly be memorable for our society and the world due to his positive, national, and exceptionally patriotic qualities, based on the circumstances that he possesses, and this is something we all know very well. Especially considering that the president of the country is a person who, to put it mildly, does not fit this position. If we are right and face the truth, this is the reality, the good example, and something that should not be repeated in Georgia's history. The main direction of the activity of the person called president has been and still is, unfortunately, the violation of the country's constitution, bullying, insulting one's own people, and turning a blind eye to the real and essential problems. However, all this will end very soon. Therefore, I want to congratulate all of Georgia on this important day," said Matikashvili.
