Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze commented on the election of Mikheil Kavelashvili as Georgia's president by the electoral college, emphasizing the importance of having a patriotic leader in these times.

On his Facebook page, Kaladze highlighted Kavelashvili’s dedication to Georgia’s dignity and success.

"I congratulate the people of Georgia on the election of a new president. Mikheil Kavelashvili is a person who has always defended Georgia's dignity and fought for the country's victories.

Now, more than ever, our country needs precisely such a patriotic president. I hope the new president will take all necessary steps to unite society, strengthen our sovereignty, and achieve the reunification of Georgia.

I would like to congratulate Mikheil Kavelashvili on his election as president and wish him success for the benefit of our country and its people," wrote Kaladze.
