Three days ago, Kakha Kaladze instructed district administrations to bring a specific number of people to the Christmas tree lighting event, but they managed to gather only about 500 attendees, claims Nika Melia, one of the leaders of the "Coalition for Change," in a social media post.

According to Melia, the directive even included instructions to bring children along.

"Three days ago, Kaladze gave district administrations—practically merged with the 'Georgian Dream' party structures—a task to gather a specific number of people for the Christmas tree event.

The instructions explicitly mentioned attending with children. Large districts (Samgori, Gldani, Saburtalo, Isani, and Nadzaladevi) were assigned to bring 1,000 people each, while smaller districts (Mtatsminda, Vake, Didube, Chugureti, and Krtsanisi) were tasked with 500 each.

In total, they managed to gather only around 500 people, with no spontaneous participants, and almost no children. What we saw instead was a Christmas tree surrounded by party loyalists and demonstrators enjoying a free, joyful atmosphere on Rustaveli Avenue," Melia stated.
