The issue of Georgia will be discussed at today’s meeting of the EU foreign ministers.

According to official information, the meeting will begin at 10:00 AM local time in Brussels on December 16 and will be chaired for the first time by the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell.

According to the European Council's website, the Foreign Affairs Council will exchange views on recent developments in Georgia.

As per the agenda, EU foreign ministers will discuss Russia's aggression against Ukraine. They will also review the situation in the Middle East, including discussions on recent events in Syria and Lebanon.

It is worth noting that on December 10, EU spokesperson Anita Hipper commented that the EU is considering "additional measures" at the meeting of EU foreign ministers on December 16 regarding Georgia. She emphasized that the EU expresses solidarity with the Georgian people and their democratic and European aspirations.
