Gitanas Nausėda: The Georgian Dream should not take away the European dream from the majority of the country

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda stated before the start of the European Council meeting in Brussels that what is most disappointing to him is the Georgian government's declaration of distancing itself from the European path, while 80% of the Georgian people support the European dream.

"I have said many times, and I truly speak from the heart as a friend of Georgia: what I see happening in Georgia now is truly disappointing. Yes, we can discuss the election results, and perhaps you will find people who will say the elections were fraudulent and refuse to acknowledge the results, while the other side will say the opposite. But for me, what is most disappointing is the government's announcement that they are distancing themselves from the European path, while 80% of the Georgian people support the European dream. Therefore, the Georgian Dream should not take away the European dream from the majority of the country," said Gitanas Nausėda.
