Gigi Tsereteli: We are gathering to align our views, and there will definitely be coordination with the President afterward. The main path to resolving the crisis is through new elections

Gigi Tsereteli: "We are gathering to align our views, and naturally, there will definitely be coordination with the President afterward," said Gigi Tsereteli, one of the leaders of "United National Movement," before the start of a working meeting of opposition parties.

According to Tsereteli, the meeting will focus on ongoing developments and the primary demand of the protests—to hold new elections.

"The demand of the protest is for new elections, and we also see that the main path to resolving the crisis is precisely this. Yesterday, the President spoke very clearly about this, despite the obstacles she faced. She clearly stated that she would continue her active involvement and fight alongside society to ensure the release of those detained during the protests.

We will discuss how we see this process, this period, and the coming days. Every day there is action, and responses from our partners regarding what has happened and is happening in Georgia. We want to navigate this path correctly and in line with the demands that align with the societal context," said Gigi Tsereteli.
