"The longer the self-proclaimed regime delays the appointment of new elections, the heavier the consequences will be for it," said Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of the "Unity - National Movement," after a meeting with opposition parties and coalitions.

According to Vashadze, the opposition is working on a document, which they will present to the president tomorrow, outlining the rules and conditions for holding new elections.

"We had a very productive meeting where we agreed, in addition to the fact that new elections must be held, on how these elections should be conducted, under what electoral administration, and under what rules. We will finalize this document overnight and present it to the president tomorrow. Another important component is that the self-proclaimed regime should not have control over the law enforcement agencies to prevent it from conducting another so-called 'special operation' called elections.

We have agreed on the systemic changes that need to be implemented to get to the point of election rules. Ultimately, the country will return to normal conditions as soon as 'de-Bidzinization' happens in this country. There is no other solution. Bidzina equals chaos.

The longer the self-proclaimed regime delays the appointment of new elections, the heavier the consequences will be for it," Vashadze said.
