The president of IRI stated that restoring the Georgian people's trust in the legitimacy of the government is only possible through new elections

The president of the International Republican Institute (IRI), Daniel Twining, stated that restoring the Georgian people's trust in the legitimacy of the government is only possible through new elections.

Twining referred to the parliamentary elections held in Georgia as a "sad chapter."

"Georgia’s parliamentary election was not credible in the eyes of its citizens and marks a sad chapter in the country’s fight for freedom and democracy. Only new elections can restore the Georgian people’s confidence in their government’s legitimacy.," wrote Daniel Twining.
