"We are ready to stay at the palace after December 29 and declare it the sole place where Georgia's legitimate president will reside," said Ana Dolidze, one of the leaders of For a Strong Georgia, following the conclusion of the meeting between the President and the opposition.
According to Dolidze, discussions are ongoing regarding a document that will be presented, addressing elections, election administration, and the conditions under which new, legitimate elections could be held in Georgia.
"This is an ongoing working process. Political parties that have crossed the electoral threshold are consulting with Georgia's president. Discussions are focused on a document that will be presented concerning elections, election administration, and the conditions under which new, legitimate elections could take place in Georgia. Our main demand, of course, remains new elections, along with the release of political prisoners.
I want to say that I offered full support to Georgia’s president in the fight for independence. We are ready to remain at the palace after December 29 and declare it the sole place where Georgia’s legitimate President will reside. This is one of our proposals—a form of support, alongside other forms, that we describe as legitimate, fair, and non-violent," said Ana Dolidze.
