Nika Gvaramia: This morning, the usurper regime, under the signature of the self-proclaimed president, published laws that are unacceptable as they contain the most severe prerequisites for restricting human rights and freedoms

This morning, the usurper regime, under the signature of the self-proclaimed president, published laws that are not only illegitimate, but also unconstitutional and unconventional, as they contain the most severe prerequisites for restricting human rights and freedoms, - Nika Gvaramia, the leader of the Coalition for Change, wrote on social media.

According to him, "with these "laws", the usurpation of power and the regime's move from authoritarianism to dictatorship have taken another extremely difficult step."

For information, 28 draft laws were published in the Legislative Herald with the signature of Mikheil Kavelashvili yesterday.

Among the published draft laws are amendments to the Law of Assemblies and Demonstrations, based on which demonstrators are prohibited from covering their faces with masks or any other things during rallies, as well as from using laser devices and pyrotechnics.

Draft laws that increase administrative fines and simplify reorganization process in public services were also signed by Kavelashvili.

All these laws have entered into force immediately upon publication.
