Lawyer: When not a single person has been punished by law enforcement, this silence is the loudest and answers many questions. Andro Chichinadze is the collective face of the fight against lawlessness, and we will certainly win

Andro is the collective face of the fight against lawlessness, representing those damaged and harmed individuals who are illegally imprisoned—this battle will undoubtedly end in victory," said the lawyer of actor Andro Chichinadze, who was arrested during ongoing protests near the parliament, in an interview on PalitraNews' "Résumé" program.

The lawyer stated that while protesters were being arrested, not a single person from law enforcement had been punished. "This creates a feeling of insecurity, where you don't feel that your state will protect you."

"As an ordinary citizen, I can say that this creates a feeling of insecurity, where you don't have the sense that your state will protect you when you see that hundreds of cases are being opened by the special investigative service, and when you see that multiple people are being illegally detained. Meanwhile, some people are even fined administratively, and some victims are so badly beaten that they can't even attend the proceedings. But here, not a single person from law enforcement has been punished—if we can even call them law enforcement. I think this silence is the loudest and answers many questions in this case. It doesn't need an evaluation; the public sees it.

Often, Andro's name is mentioned, and there is constant talk about him, but we express solidarity with every detained person. Andro is the collective name for the fight against lawlessness, for those who are unlawfully imprisoned. We unite all those involved in the process under Andro's name. We hope that this battle will end in victory," stated Tornike Migineishvili.

Tornike Migineishvili explained that the court extended the investigation deadline until March 5 because "they hope the momentum will decrease outside and that people will withdraw their support from these individuals.

The judge postponed the case without providing any justification, extending the deadline. I believe this wasn't done for the purpose stated in the motion, that investigative actions need to be carried out, as they had enough time for that. The goal is probably to delay the process in hopes that the momentum will decrease outside and these people will lose support. However, not only will they not lose support, but their support will grow, and the protest will increase," said Tornike Migineishvili.
