Irakli Miminoshvili, who was detained on charges of participating in group violence, addressed Judge Irakli Khuskivadze: "I have a request, could one of you stand here for five minutes? It is physically impossible to be here; we are breathing each other's carbon dioxide."

Khuskivadze did not change the courtroom. "We are not animals, we are humans," Miminoshvili responded.

It was Miminoshvili who became unwell in the courtroom due to lack of air. An ambulance had to be called for him.

According to the lawyers, the doctor's conclusion stated that he became unwell precisely due to lack of air, which was the reason the courtroom should have been changed.

"Mr. Judge, why do you have such a principled stance, and why is this cruelty happening?!" one of the lawyers asked the judge.

The human rights defenders stated that this is torture for the detainees, and they "think about air, not arguments."

Moreover, lawyer Shota Tutberidze apologized to one of the police officers in the courtroom, as he had mistaken and made an incorrect statement about him. Recently, Tutberidze had said that one of the police officers sitting in the front row of the courtroom was "a member of an organized crime gang and a perpetrator of violence against young people." This is why he apologized.

For the record, three of the detainees—Zviad Tsetskhladze, Vepkhia Kasradze, and Vasil Kadzhelashvili—are accused of organizing and leading group violence. They face imprisonment for 6 to 9 years.

Five of the detainees—Giorgi Gorgadze, Irakli Miminoshvili, Insaf Aliyev, Tornike Goshadze, and Nikoloz Javakhishvili—are accused of participating in group violence. They face imprisonment for 4 to 6 years.
