Actor Giorgi Chachanidze, who was detained during the protest near the "Babylon" restaurant, has sustained injuries. This was reported to InterPressNews by the detained actor’s lawyer, Veriko Gagua.
She visited Chachanidze at the city’s main police department. According to the lawyer, her client has not committed any administrative offense.
"The police used excessive force during his detention. There is footage showing that he was helping a girl who was being detained by dozens of police officers using force. During the intervention in this unlawful action, Giorgi was detained. He was physically abused during the detention, and he has superficial injuries. He has scratches on his hands, around his neck, as well as a headache, and his ears are blocked. He received medical assistance yesterday, and this morning I also asked the patrol officer if they could assist him again," Gagua stated.
