Giorgi Kvirikashvili: Recent incidents increase the risk of civil conflict – Regardless of how unacceptable the opponent's actions are, it is a crime and irresponsibility for the Government to shift events into personal revenge

According to Georgia's former Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the recent incidents of Government representatives and their supporters stepping outside the bounds of the law are increasing the risk of disorder and civil conflict in the country.

He stated that, regardless of how unacceptable the actions of certain opponents may be, it remains the Government's crime and complete irresponsibility to shift events into the realm of personal vengeance.

"Recent incidents of government representatives or their supporters stepping outside the law are increasing the risk of disorder and civil conflict in the country. Regardless of how unacceptable the actions of any opponent may be, it is ultimately a crime and complete irresponsibility for the Government to move events into the realm of personal revenge. This is something we all need to think about, especially those who hold power," wrote Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
