Guram Macharashvili: Striking by companies is political posturing - if the system and the country don’t suit you, just shut down and leave! - What does a three-hour strike mean? Declaring a three-hour break is not a strike

A strike by private companies is political posturing - What does a strike mean?! If this system and country do not suit you, just shut your hat and leave! - This statement was made by Parliament Member Guram Macharashvili to the media.

Macharashvili also mentioned that the companies actually declared a 3-hour break.

"What does a strike by the private sector mean?! What does a three-hour strike mean? - Three hours is a break, and they declared a break. Declaring a break is not a strike. If you're striking, at least say that you will not operate until some task is fulfilled. Strike, and you will see that an alternative will emerge immediately – this is the principle of economics.

This is political posturing because they know it won’t have an effect, but they strike to please the radical collective 'National Movement.' All of this is being written down, and in time, the Georgian people will respond," said Guram Macharashvili.

"Georgia is striking!" - Employers and employees will begin a nationwide warning strike on January 15 at 3:00 PM.

As the organizers state, the purpose of the protest is to show the public what awaits Georgia under isolation conditions.

The strike will last for three hours.
