According to one of the leaders of the Gakharia for Georgia party, Ana Buchukuri, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have seized the clothes of the party’s chairman, Giorgi Gakharia.

According to her, Gakharia will be questioned in a few days regarding the attack on him in Batumi.

“Today, on January 16, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs urgently seized Giorgi Gakharia’s clothes (investigative action).

Giorgi Gakharia will be questioned in a few days in accordance with the request of the investigative body,” Buchukuri said.

The leader of Gakharia for Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, was attacked in Batumi. The attack on the opposition politician took place at the Sheraton Hotel. Gakharia was taken to the clinic, but later he left the hospital. According to the doctor, Giorgi Gakharia has a fractured nasal bone and a concussion. One of the people who participated in the physical confrontation with Gakharia is Georgian Dream MP Dimitri Samkharadze. In addition to the attack on Giorgi Gakharia, a confrontation took place in the same hotel with Zviad Koridze, a representative of the non-governmental sector. According to Koridze, he was confronted by Georgian Dream representative Dimitri Samkharadze and his entourage.
