Rally in support of Mzia Amaglobeli underway near Government Administration in parallel with government session

Representatives of the media sector are holding a protest rally under the slogan - "Freedom to the founder of Netgazeti and Batumelebi, Mzia Amaglobeli" in front of the Georgian Government Administration, in parallel with the government session.

Representatives of various media outlets are at the rally in support of journalist Mzia Amaglobeli, demanding her release.

They are demanding from the members of the government that the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia file a new motion - to change the pre-trial detention of Mzia Amaglobeli to a lighter preventive measure.

They are chanting - "Freedom to Mzia". They also have a banner - "Freedom to the founder of Netgazeti and Batumelebi, Mzia Amaglobeli".

The protest participants also call on the Special Investigation Service to take an interest in the issue and investigate the ill-treatment of Mzia Amaglobeli.

Several patrol police crews are mobilized in the area.
