The Kutaisi Court of Appeals has declared inadmissible the appeal filed regarding the pre-trial detention of journalist Mzia Amaglobeli.

According to the information provided by the court, the case will not be reviewed.

With this decision, the Batumi City Court's ruling remains in effect.

The appeal was filed in the Court of Appeals yesterday, and the decision was announced recently.

For reference, the Batumi City Court imposed pre-trial detention as a preventive measure on Mzia Amaglobeli, the founder of "Batumelebi" and "Netgazeti". The decision was made by Judge Nino Sakhelashvili.

Mzia Amaglobeli is charged under Article 353^1 of the Criminal Code, which concerns assaulting a police officer. She was initially detained administratively during a protest near the Batumi Police Main Department, and was released after about two hours. A few minutes after her release, she was detained again near the department.
