Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the "For Georgia" party, has been recognized as a victim by the Prosecutor's Office. This information was confirmed to "Interpressnews" by the party's press service.
According to them, the case materials will be reviewed by the lawyer.
"Significant evidence has already been destroyed, and we are curious to see what is included in the case. The lawyer will review the case materials," stated the press service.
The case concerns the attack on Gakharia in Batumi. The incident occurred on January 15 at the Sheraton Hotel. Gakharia was transported to the clinic but left the hospital shortly afterward. According to the doctor, he sustained a nasal bone fracture and a concussion.
One of the individuals involved in the physical altercation with Gakharia is Dimitri Samkharadze, a Member of Parliament from the Georgian Dream party.
In addition to the attack on Giorgi Gakharia, a confrontation also took place in the same hotel involving Zviad Koridze, a representative of the non-governmental sector. According to Koridze, he was confronted by Dimitri Samkharadze and his associates, representatives of the Georgian Dream party.
