Mzia Amaglobeli is one of many detainees facing excessive charges and pre-trial detention, and the European Union continues to call for their release, Danish Ambassador to Georgia Anne Toft Sørensen writes on her X page.

“Together with EU colleagues met with Batumelebi, Netgazeti and the lawyers of imprisoned editor Mzia Amaghlobeli currently facing up to 7 years’ prison. Mzia is one of many detained facing excessive charges and pre-trial detentions. The EU continues to call for their release”, she wrote.
