The Penitentiary Service: Mzia Amaghlobeli's health condition is satisfactory and stable; at this stage, her life is not in danger – care for her health will continue uninterrupted

The head of the Special Penitentiary Service's Medical Department, Malkhaz Urtkmelidze, stated that the health condition of Mzia Amaghlobeli, the founder of "Batumelebi," is satisfactory and stable.

Urtkmelidze urged Mzia Amaghlobeli to end her hunger strike.

"Mzia Amaghlobeli's health condition is satisfactory and stable. She is being monitored continuously. Laboratory tests are conducted almost daily. At this stage, according to the latest data, no significant changes have been observed.

The defendant is visited daily by a representative of the Public Defender’s Office, who is informed about her health condition. This information is also available to her lawyer upon request.

Once again, we emphasize that the safety and health of every prisoner are our priorities. At this stage, Mzia Amaghlobeli's life is not in danger. Care for her health will continue uninterrupted.

We urge Mzia Amaghlobeli to end her hunger strike in the best interest of her health," stated Urtkmelidze in a statement released by the Special Penitentiary Service.
