Nika Gvaramia: The people are the only force that authoritarianism fears – in my opinion, everything that keeps the regime alive should be blocked

"In my opinion, everything that keeps the regime alive should be blocked – this is not a criminal offense, but a fight for the country’s independence," said Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the coalition "For Change," during the protest at the exit of Tbilisi.

According to him, the people are the only force that authoritarianism truly fears.

"We must put an end to these people. Every road that they are so sensitive about must be blocked. They themselves are telling us where it hurts, and wherever it hurts, we will be there and make it hurt even more.

The people are the only force that authoritarianism fears in general. In my opinion, everything that keeps this regime alive should be blocked. This is not a criminal offense, but a fight for the country’s independence. When these two things are in conflict, it is natural that the fight for independence is far more important," Gvaramia stated.
