At the exit of Tbilisi, on the highway, police detained several more protesters. The detainees were placed in police vehicles and taken away.

There are periodic clashes between protesters and the police.

Earlier, opposition politician Gigi Ugulava, as well as "Coalition for Change" members Nika Melia and Tengo Tevzadze, were also detained at the protest.
