Protesters blocked Rustaveli Avenue

Protesters blocked the road on Rustaveli Avenue.

The protesters are chanting: "Georgia rise up, fire to the oligarchy, go away! Freedom to the regime's prisoners."

They are holding Georgian flags. The police are mobilized at the scene.

Their demands remain unchanged—to schedule early elections and release those detained during the protest.

Today, a protest also took place near "Tbilisi Mall" in the city. Protesters attempted several times from 16:00 to block the road, but the police forces eventually cleared the path and traffic resumed. The protest also saw physical and verbal clashes. Law enforcement detained several participants, including opposition party leaders Gigi Ugulava and Nika Melia. Several citizens felt unwell during the protest, requiring an ambulance.
