Ministry of Internal Affairs says a total of 31 people were arrested at yesterday’s protest

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on February 2, law enforcement officers detained a total of 31 people during a protest on Agmashenebeli Alley, adjacent to Tbilisi Mall.­

As InterPressNews was told by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all of the people were detained under administrative procedure for an offence under Article 173, which pertains to disobedience to a lawful request of a police officer.

According to reports, some of the detainees have already been released, including one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, Nika Melia.
