There was a scuffle between the protestors and the police on 9 April Street during the ongoing protest.
Civil activists and journalists initially gathered near the back entrance of Parliament, chanting: "Freedom for Mzia Amaglobeli."
Afterward, they decided to continue the protest on 9 April Street, which is located next to Parliament. When media representatives and other protestors started heading toward 9 April Street, the police restricted their movement.
Journalists explained to the law enforcement officers that they did not intend to block the road and just wanted to continue the protest. After this, the police allowed them to move to the sidewalk. However, the situation changed a few minutes later when the police prevented the journalists from standing on the sidewalk. Eventually, the media representatives moved in front of Parliament.
It is worth noting that during the protest, the police removed two individuals from the area. As for the law enforcement officers, they are mobilized throughout the entire territory of Parliament, including side streets and the park behind Parliament.
