Paata Zakareishvili: USAID's "funding a revolution" is absurd – neither the opposition, nor civil society, nor USAID, nor Trump can create a revolution; only "Georgian Dream" can create a revolution

Trump's policy is imperialistic, and in this context, USAID is an instrument – "Georgian Dream" is a parasite, and it fits well into the ongoing processes in large states, particularly in the USA, which I consider evil and a problem for the world – progress that was led by the United States is now in question.

According to Zakareishvili, the current processes with USAID are fundamental and concern not only USAID but also America's role in the world.

"State Department" is exactly what keeps Trump going today. This means that they believe, "We are rich, strong, and powerful, and who cares about international law?" Even more, Trump says that not only international law but American law is unnecessary. As soon as he took office, he pardoned people who had entered Congress. In other words, he pardoned aggressors who targeted state institutions and did many other things that were more or less within the law. Trump sees America solely through the narrow lens of a rich person, and that's wrong.

This kind of policy led us to two world wars and the consent of large states – 'I will handle the situation myself, and I don’t need agreements.' Trump's policy is imperialistic, and in this context, USAID is an instrument. It’s an instrument that realizes America's greatness. USAID supports the realization of values in any country. Today, USAID was helping Afghanistan. USAID helps wherever the government cannot handle issues on its own – vaccines, child healthcare, security issues. When a government asks the United States for help because it can’t reach those issues, America has this institution, USAID, for that," Zakareishvili said.

As for the "Georgian Dream's" assessment that USAID financed revolutionary processes in Georgia, Zakareishvili claims this is impossible because "only the state apparatus that the revolution is aimed against creates a revolution."

"Revolutions are created only by the local authorities, nothing else. Revolutions are created only by the state apparatus that the revolution is directed against. It is impossible to artificially fund a revolution. A person will never go out on the streets to sacrifice their life for someone else's money. People sacrifice their lives for ideas. Where revolutions happen, people sacrifice their lives to overthrow the government because the government will kill them anyway. Why wait to be killed by them when I can take my life? Therefore, funding revolutions is nonsense. It is absurd. The opposition can't create a revolution, nor civil society, nor USAID, nor Trump. Only "Georgian Dream" can create a revolution," Zakareishvili said.

The conflictologist also answered why the "Georgian Dream" has specifically targeted USAID. According to Paata Zakareishvili, "Georgia has jumped on Trump's trend."

"There are big fish and parasitic fish that follow the big fish and feed on their leftovers. Small states like Hungary, Georgia, and Slovakia try to maintain balance and play the difference and unity of the large states. 'Georgian Dream' was a member of the social-democratic faction in Europe. It's a paradox. To this day, they still say in their charter that they are social-democratic. At some point, when they felt a crisis and realized that power couldn’t be built on democracy, they switched to ultra-right-wing positions. Garibashvili went to Hungary and participated in the ultra-right-wing congress when their charter still listed them as social-democrats. Georgia has jumped on the Trump trend in the world. Trump was already gone and angry – he felt that they had taken power from him, and he was preparing, throwing flocks to come back to power. 'Georgian Dream' clearly caught this trend, probably with instructions from Russia. All the big narratives usually come from Russia because they are literally repeated in the speeches of Orbán and Fico – the "Global War Party," "Deep State," whether Russia should accept a law or not.

All this came from Russia. This is Surkov's famous ideology, and he was the first to use 'Deep State' in his well-known essay on the immortality of Putinism. It directly mentions what 'Deep State' refers to. Russia found a golden path where they can deceive, manipulate the ultra-right, and 'deceive' a part of the population, the conservative core, which does not want change, does not believe in reforms, and is comfortable with the status quo. 'Georgian Dream,' like Orbán and Fico, is a parasitic organization, a parasitic state, which fits well with the ongoing processes in large states according to their interests. In this case, with the processes happening in the United States, which I don't care about, and I consider it evil and a problem for the world. The progress that the U.S. led in the world is now in question," Zakareishvili stated.
