Nugzar Tsiklauri on the investigation initiated against Zviad Kharaizishvili: They will probably discover that the citizen angered this ox-like docile person so much that he was forced to start cursing

As the government has decided to speak to the people, Zviad Kharaizishvili's words, cursing, and physical abuse are an expression of this — he is the symbol of the government, said one of the leaders of the "Coalition for Change," Nugzar Tsiklauri, in an interview on the "PalitraNews" show "Day's Newsroom."

He stated that the new legislative initiatives of the "Georgian Dream" are an expression of political impotence, collapse, and degradation.

"When you don't have an answer to foreign and domestic political challenges, the only answer you have is to take a stick in hand and restrict people's democratic rights. It is truly laughable, if it weren't so satirical. Sanctions are being toughened for insulting government representatives and police officers — we all saw that the head of the special forces, Kharaizishvili, was using obscene language to insult people, protestors, journalists, and physically attacking people. Just a week ago, this person was awarded the Order of Honor by Kavlashvili. So, this person, the knight of the Order of Honor, goes out and publicly beats people and insults them. This is truly a tragicomic reality in today's Georgia. I wonder if this person has been held accountable? In the end, we know what they will discover. They will discover that the citizen angered this ox-like docile person so much that he was forced to start cursing. The main thing expressed by this package of laws brought by the "Georgian Dream" is an expression of political impotence, collapse, and degradation," said Tsiklauri.

He also spoke about the protest held at the "Tbilisi Mall" on February 2, stating that we are witnessing "hatred of citizens by the police."

"Zviad Kharaizishvili is the symbol of the government. Just as the government has decided to speak to the people, this is expressed in his words, cursing, physical abuse, and hatred. The most severe thing that stands out in these protests is the hatred of citizens by the police. Fine, we understand that a month and a half ago, there were torches, and protestors threw stones, but when there was a protest just yesterday, weren't all the protestors peaceful? We saw the savage hatred towards these people? Toward women? We've seen April 9th in this country, and on April 9th, such hatred and savagery were seen in the actions of Lebed's squad. Now we see the same hatred," he said.

The opposition politician stated that the "Georgian Dream" cannot retain power through "clubs."

"One famous author is credited with saying that you can gain power with sticks, but sitting on sticks for a long time is impossible. When the 'Georgian Dream' only has sticks, violence, insulting people, cursing, and imprisoning people left as the main arguments for speaking to the people, it is impossible for this government to maintain power in this way," said Tsiklauri.

Furthermore, he spoke about the report of Mikheil Kavlashvili, elected to the presidency by the electoral college, and stated that he does not expect anything from his speech in parliament and that the only thing he remembers from Kavlashvili's words is "sincere cursing in the walls of parliament."

"This very phrase — 'Mikheil Kavlashvili's report' — expresses the drama we are all living in now. It is impossible for Mikheil Kavlashvili to either express an opinion or report anything to the public. The only thing I really remember from his sincere statements was the cursing in the walls of parliament. If his speech continues like this, I can't tell you anything... Perhaps the government, which itself talks about 'deep states,' has him say something like this, as if at the level of the president. Otherwise, it is impossible for anyone to expect anything from Mikheil Kavlashvili," said Tsiklauri.
