Mikheil Kavlashvili to the youth: We, Georgians, despite our differing views, it is unimaginable for us to be enemies of each other. We will have to continue living together, we must be able to face reality and engage in dialogue

Dear youth, we, Georgians, despite our differing views, it is unimaginable for us to be enemies of each other. Despite our differences, we will have to continue living together, and therefore, we must be able to face reality and engage in dialogue with one another, - said Mikheil Kavlashvili, who was elected as President by the electoral college, during his speech in Parliament.

In addressing the youth, he emphasized that "by standing together, we can ultimately build a unified, strong, and independent Georgia, which lives in the heart of every Georgian."

Kavlashvili stated that it is unimaginable for him that there could be a Georgian who does not agree with peace, stability, the protection of our traditions and values, the development, and prosperity of our country.

"As for the artificial polarization imposed on us, unfortunately, many sincere and passionate young people are actively used in this process. I clearly remember when I was young, I know how heightened emotions are at this age, how impulsive, rebellious, and volatile you can be, how intense your opinions and moods are on various issues. Our country's enemies play on these emotions. For me, it is unimaginable that there could be a Georgian who does not agree with peace, stability, the protection of our traditions and values, the development, and prosperity of our country. If such a person exists, they are not serving the interests of our country.

Dear youth, we Georgians, despite our differing views, it is unimaginable for us to be enemies of each other. We have one language, one culture, one history, one homeland, which requires care. If all of this unites us, how can we refuse each other and stop talking to each other over differing opinions on other matters? You will agree that any critically thinking person must admit that they could be wrong somewhere. A person should be able to see and acknowledge their mistakes and face the truth. Despite our differences, we will have to continue living together, and therefore, we must be able to face reality and engage in dialogue with each other. We must be able to overcome our anger within ourselves, manage to take care of and protect each other. Despite our differences, we must stand together and protect our values. By standing together, we can ultimately build a unified, strong, and independent Georgia, which lives in the heart of every Georgian. Long live a unified, strong, and independent Georgia! May God be our protector!" - said Kavlashvili.
