Irakli Zarkua to Khazaradze: Mamuka, bring the money, man!

As far as I know and what I have seen, Mamuka Khazaradze has never been a defender of Georgia's and the Georgian people's interests – he has always served foreign patrons and entered politics as a representative of foreign interests, – stated Irakli Zarkua, the Chairman of the Diaspora and Caucasus Affairs Committee, while commenting on the statement made by the leader of "Strong Georgia," Mamuka Khazaradze.

He noted that a lustration had taken place regarding "whom and how Mamuka Khazaradze serves."

"A lustration took place regarding whom and how he serves. As far as I know and what I have seen, Mamuka Khazaradze has never been a defender of Georgia's and the Georgian people's interests. He was always what he is today – serving foreign patrons and coming into politics as a representative of foreign interests. He tells a foreign country that Georgia should be punished. Why? Because the Georgian people did not support his inadequate and crazy ideas. He had a wonderful opportunity to build our century's project – the Anaklia port. He filed a lawsuit against Georgia and demanded billions of dollars from the Georgian people and the budget. You know that the international court found him guilty, and on the contrary, he owes 600 thousand dollars. Mamuka, bring the money! We will use that money for gardens, schools, and good causes. Bring the money, man!" – Zarkua said.

For reference, the leader of "Strong Georgia," Mamuka Khazaradze, stated that "the USA must exert pressure on the 'Georgian Dream’s' illegitimate, pro-Iranian, and pro-Chinese regime in order to protect its geopolitical interests in the Black Sea region."

He added that the Panama case clearly demonstrates how successful the pressure exerted by Trump's new administration can be in terms of protecting U.S. national interests.
