Test flight arrives from Moscow at occupied Sokhumi airport

A test flight from Moscow arrived at the occupied Sokhumi airport, carrying 21 passengers, including Badra Gunba, the so-called presidential candidate of occupied Abkhazia.

According to Russian media, earlier, Russian Transport Minister Roman Starovoit said that flights to Sokhumi would be operated by the airline YuVT Aero.

“Indeed, a very important event happened today. After more than 30 years, Sokhumi airport received an aircraft that we have been waiting for so long. I am sure that the geography of flights in Russia will expand. We are sure that such a project will improve the economic situation and attractiveness of our country. Of course, this is one of the most important directions that we will continue to develop,” said Badra Gunba.
