According to available information, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has drawn up administrative offense reports for nine participants of a protest rally held near a judge’s house in Kutaisi against the imprisonment of journalist Mzia Amaghlobeli.

According to media reports, the following individuals received citations:

Gela Mtivlishvili – Journalist, editor of Georgian News / Mountain News

Nino Katamadze – Musician, founder of the Nino Katamadze Foundation

Vladimir Abkhazava – Teacher, first recipient of the National Teacher Award

Khvicha Vashakmadze – Journalist

Ketevan Pilauli – Psychologist

Maia Tsiramua – Psychologist

Irina Zarandia – Civil activist

Givi Tsintsadze – Member of the Lanchkhuti Municipal Council

Eka Kukhalashvili – Journalist at Kutaisi Pos

The police are reportedly accusing them of violating the rules for organizing and conducting assemblies or demonstrations.

According to available information, the hearing on the case is scheduled to take place on Monday, February 10, at 12:00 PM at the Kutaisi City Court.
