"I arrived in Georgia yesterday. Everyone greeted us with smiles, wearing beautiful uniforms, and I felt at home. The Georgian people are warm and hospitable, which is very important because everyone here should feel at home. The new facilities are excellent and meet the highest standards. The presentation of the commemorative coin, introduced by the President of the National Bank, was an emotional moment. We experienced the same thing ten years ago when you hosted the European Summer Youth Olympic Festival. It was a very successful event, which is why we decided to hold the Winter Olympic Festival in Georgia. I am confident that your young athletes will have the opportunity to discover new winter sports and that new champions will emerge," said Spyros Capralos.

A few hours before the official opening of the European Youth Olympic Festival, the final preparations for the event were evaluated. Competitions will start tomorrow. The President of the European Olympic Committees has already inspected the infrastructure specially built for the Olympics. Spyros Capralos thanked the Olympic and Organizing Committees for their efforts and noted that the infrastructure is fully aligned with international standards.
