We didn’t use bad words, we expressed our solidarity – it turns out solidarity is punished. This is very unfortunate, - said Lado Abkhazava, the holder of the National Teacher's Award, before the start of the session at the Kutaisi City Court, where the trial of journalists and representatives of various professions, including Lado Apkhazava, is scheduled.
As Lado Apkhazava pointed out, "People should have a place to protest."
"Today I was supposed to be in class, but I have to come to court. Ordinary people should have a place to protest or something with which we can express sincere protest. I’ve never been to such a peaceful demonstration. We didn’t use bad words, we expressed our solidarity. It turns out, solidarity is punished. This is very unfortunate," said Lado Apkhazava.
