The court fined Gigi Ugulava 5,000 GEL

Opposition politician Gigi Ugulava, who was subjected to administrative proceedings, was found guilty of an administrative offense by the court.

Judge Zviad Tskhava sentenced Ugulava to a 5,000-GEL fine as an administrative penalty.

Ugulava did not attend the court hearing.

For reference, Ugulava was accused of committing an offense under Article 174^1, Part 4 of the Administrative Offenses Code. Specifically, he was charged with artificially blocking the road on January 17 during a protest on Rustaveli Avenue when there were not enough people present to justify the action.
