Levan Makashvili: By adopting resolutions full of lies, the European Parliament is discrediting itself – it is nothing more than an empty piece of paper, empty words, and it has no value

Another resolution of the European Parliament is nothing more than an empty piece of paper, empty words, and it has no value – it holds no legal force even for the European Union itself, as it is not legally binding! This is how the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration, Levan Makashvili, responds to the document adopted by the European Parliament.

According to Makashvili, "For 'Georgian Dream,' no document can hold any value if it implies that the choice of the Georgian people is worthless."

"The document contains numerous pieces of disinformation and lies; it is an unfair attack on the Georgian government and Georgia as a whole.

Even EU institutions and European bodies have repeatedly exposed the lies within European Parliament resolutions. By adopting resolutions filled with falsehoods, the European Parliament is discrediting itself. This document has no value for us!

We have seen many names mentioned in the resolution – this is an attack on individuals who serve the truth, and that is why they are being targeted.

That is why specific media organizations, which do not serve their ideology but rather expose their lies and disinformation, are being targeted.

As for the opposition’s reaction to the European Parliament’s resolution, it confirms how much they rejoice at attacks and assaults against the state. Their actions have long gone beyond party politics and have become a direct assault on the state itself.

When you attack a beneficial achievement for the country – be it visa liberalization or any other accomplishment – you are fighting against your own state and people," said Levan Makashvili.
