Lawyer: Mzia Amaghlobeli was not surprised by the judge's decision, and did not expect anything different from this court

According to her lawyer, Juba Katamadze, who spoke about Mzia Amaghlobeli, the founder of Batumelebi and Netgazeti, following 34 days of hunger strike, she has lost weight and is weakened, but remains strong.

Regarding the court decision, the lawyer stated that Mzia Amaghlobeli was not surprised and did not expect anything different from this court.

"The court's decision did not surprise her; she did not expect anything different from this court. Every day that Mzia spends in prison is unlawful. There is no real circumstance or evidence that justifies pretrial detention. The court is under political influence. This is an attempt to press down on Mzia and the use of repressive measures. There is no evidence on their side, and Mzia is still considered a person without any proven administrative offense. In reality, the pretrial detention is retaliation against Mzia.

As for her health, we, the lawyers, see that she is losing weight and is weakened, but this needs to be confirmed by medical examinations. However, she does not want her health condition to take the spotlight," Juba Katamadze said.
