Giorgi Gakharia: The meeting with the French Minister for European Affairs focused on the ongoing political crisis in Georgia and the country's European future

The leader of "Gakharia for Georgia," Giorgi Gakharia, met with the French Minister for European Affairs, Benjamin Haddad, in Munich. As Gakharia wrote on social media, the meeting focused on the ongoing political crisis in Georgia and the country’s European future.

"President Macron's leadership has been crucial in mobilizing the EU’s efforts toward Georgia. I deeply appreciate his commitment to Georgia’s democratic path. He stands firmly against democratic backsliding and authoritarianism, playing a key role in resolving the crisis in Georgia.

Now, concrete measures must be taken to immediately release political prisoners, hold new elections under democratic conditions, and protect regional security from Russian influence," stated Giorgi Gakharia.
