A Georgian citizen was killed in Warsaw as a result of a fight involving a group of Georgians, according to reports from Warsaw police and Polish media.
According to media sources, a 31-year-old Georgian citizen died in the hospital after being stabbed in the chest during a brawl in front of a restaurant near Constitution Square.
Police reports indicate that, in addition to the victim, three other Georgian citizens were injured in the fight.
According to Polsat News, a total of eight people were involved in the altercation. Polish law enforcement has arrested three Georgian citizens in connection with the incident.
Notably, a spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jacek Dobrzyński, recently stated that in 2024, 1,895 Georgian citizens were detained in Poland, with 136 of them being imprisoned. He also noted that last year, 2,589 Georgian citizens were expelled from Poland, while 322 remain in Polish penitentiary institutions.
The media also highlights that the issue of Georgian gangs in Warsaw was recently addressed by the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski.
