Rasa Juknevičienė: As the European Parliament’s permanent rapporteur on Georgia, it was important for me to have meetings and feel the situation

"As the European Parliament’s permanent rapporteur on Georgia, it was important for me to have meetings, personal interactions, and to sense the situation." This statement was made by the European Parliament’s permanent rapporteur on Georgia, Rasa Juknevičienė, during her visit to Tbilisi.

"This is one of my meetings during my short one-day visit here, on my way home from Yerevan. It was very important for me as a person responsible for Georgia-related issues in the European Parliament. I am the permanent rapporteur on Georgia, so having meetings, personal interactions, and understanding the situation was crucial.

First and foremost, I had meetings with EU ambassadors, as well as with President Salome Zourabichvili. I also met with opposition politicians and will have meetings with non-governmental organizations," Juknevičienė stated.
