Giorgi Sioridze: Snowfall has stopped in Guria; now it is critically important to clear the ice – Ureki is practically destroyed, the situation is dire – Special equipment is operating in the villages.

Snowfall has stopped, but now there is ice, and in the coming days, it is critically important to clear it. Additional special equipment has arrived and is operating on the initiative of Mamuka Khazaradze. We hope that the natural disaster will end in the coming days," said Giorgi Sioridze, a member of the Strong Georgia coalition.

He also stated that members of the Strong Georgia coalition are physically working in the disaster zone and assisting the local population.

"For the fourth day, the Strong Georgia coalition headquarters has been operating in the Ozurgeti districts. On February 27, we brought in heavy machinery, which has been working intensively in several villages, including Meria, Tsikhisperdi, and Ureki. I want to say that the Ureki resort is practically destroyed, and the situation is dire. Last night, additional heavy machinery arrived and started work in the morning. We are working on village roads, and special equipment will continue to operate continuously.

Aleko Elisashvili, along with his team, has gone to the village of Mtispiri and is physically helping people clear the snow. Additionally, Vato Surguladze has started providing first aid and medical consultations to those in need. Our hotline is receiving continuous calls. Today, we have scheduled intensive visits to all accessible areas, and as soon as the roads are cleared, we will reach everyone in need of assistance," Giorgi Sioridze stated.
