Mzia Amaghlobeli’s trial underway at Batumi City Court, with her in attendance

The trial of Batumelebi and Netgazeti founder Mzia Amaghlobeli has begun at Batumi City Court.

Mzia Amaghlobeli herself is present at the hearing. The trial is also being attended by the French Ambassador to Georgia, Sheraz Gasri, along with representatives from various foreign embassies.

During today's preliminary hearing, Judge Viktor Metreveli is set to decide on the admissibility of evidence presented by both parties and whether the case will proceed to a full trial.

Additionally, the court will deliberate on reviewing the preventive measures imposed on Amaghlobeli.

Before the trial began, protesters outside the courthouse chanted slogans such as "Freedom for Mzia Amaghlobeli" and "Freedom for the Regime's Prisoners."
