Kakha Kaladze: All the statements that we hear from some of these corrupt bureaucrats, from Europe, are all based on lies, and have nothing to do with Europeanism, democracy

All the statements that we hear from some of these corrupt bureaucrats, from Europe, are all based on lies, and have nothing to do with Europeanism, democracy, - Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze told journalists.

According to him, such statements will not harm the government, on the contrary, they themselves will be damaged.

“All the statements that we hear from some of these corrupt bureaucrats, from Europe, are all based on lies, and have nothing to do with Europeanism, democracy. This is a certain group that had absolutely different interests in relation to Georgia and is simply using the topic of EU membership for threats and blackmail. We have repeatedly explained that we are not afraid of their threats, nor is anyone afraid of their blackmail. When it comes to the interests and future of the country, we will always stand where our homeland needs us. Accordingly, statements of this type cannot harm us, on the contrary, they will harm themselves. We have indeed made many steps forward in terms of development, in terms of promoting democratic processes. The Baltic countries, which are members of NATO, had much less engagement than Georgia. Accordingly, Georgia is a very reliable partner, this is expressed not only in words, but in concrete actions and steps.

We have radicals inside the country, they are corrupt bureaucrats outside the country, who have radically different interests in relation to Georgia, they had different interests, and this continues to this day. They were not given the opportunity to use our country to pursue their own interests. A second front has not been launched in the country, we have not joined the sanctions. If they want war, let them get involved in fight with whomever they want. Accordingly, we have always pursued the interests of our country and will pursue them. Their statements are lies and falsehood,” said Kakha Kaladze.
