Mamuka Khazaradze: American companies should return to the Anaklia project

American companies should return to the Anaklia project, - Mamuka Khazaradze, the leader of Lelo - Strong Georgia, writes on the social network.

According to him, Lelo - Strong Georgia has been communicating with the American side on the issue for a long time, however, it is impossible to resolve the issue positively under the conditions of the "government seized" by Georgian Dream.

Khazaradze believes that "missing a historic opportunity is tantamount to treason against the country".

"A bipartisan group of US senators has introduced a bill aimed at monitoring and resisting China's control over strategic ports around the world, which lawmakers call a direct threat to America's national security and economic interests.

Meanwhile, Georgian Dream is giving Anaklia to the Chinese.

American companies should return to the Anaklia project, and only with their involvement it is possible to implement the Anaklia project of the century.

We have a chance to become a gateway for major trade routes, where hundreds of billions of dollars of goods can be traded.

Are Anaklia and Georgia in the economic interest of the current US administration? - Yes, they are!

The increased interest of the US administration in natural resources and raw materials makes Anaklia more attractive. As you know, the shortest route to the countries of Central Asia, rich in raw materials, passes through Georgia.

We, Lelo-Strong Georgia, have long started communicating with the American side on this issue, however, under the conditions of the government seized by Georgian Dream, it is impossible to resolve this issue positively.

The country's security and its long-term economic prosperity are the responsibility of all of us.

Such a window of opportunity needs to be used in a timely manner.

Missing this historic chance is an act tantamount to treason against the country!", - Khazaradze writes.
