Court leaves Andro Chichinadze, comedian Onise Tskhadadze and 9 others arrested in custody

The court has left 11 people arrested on charges of participating in violence, including actor Andro Chichinadze and comedian Onise Tskhadadze, in custody.

The decision was made by Tbilisi City Court Judge Irakli Shvangiradze.

At today's hearing, the preventive measure of pre-trial detention imposed on the detainees was reviewed and remained in force.

The prosecutor's office requested the re-application of the most severe preventive measure of pre-trial detention. As the prosecutors stated, there is still a risk of the detainees absconding and committing new crimes, which is why they should remain in custody.

The defense requested that the defendants be released without a preventive measure, and offered the court bail as an alternative.

As for the issue of admissibility of evidence, this will be decided at the next session, which will be held on March 10.
