Guram Macharashvili - The collective "National Movement" and its offshoots have a disease - "the syndrome of entitlement" - which election should be appointed?! An election has been scheduled, come and try your luck! - This is what Guram Macharashvili, a deputy from the "People's Power" party, said to journalists.
According to him, no one has ever invented a formula where you lose an election but are still declared the winner.
"We've said many times that the collective 'National Movement' and its offshoots have a disease - 'the syndrome of entitlement.' They are obsessed with wanting an election, but 9 elections have taken place, and they lost every one of them. There is also an election in October. Today, they are saying that an election should be appointed. Which election should be appointed?! An election has been scheduled, come and try your luck. They say they won’t participate here, so what kind of election should be appointed? Should foreign forces directly appoint you to power here? That's the kind of election the opposition wants, and sorry, that’s neither democracy nor the decision of the Georgian people. An election means that you cannot prove election fraud, and they haven’t proven it was fraudulent. On the contrary, they proved it. We remember that 'ISFED' confirmed that the CEC's data was correct because the results they published matched the CEC’s. What's more, they admitted that yes, these were the results the CEC had, but the elections were still claimed to have been rigged. So it’s rigged because the collective 'National Movement' lost, and no one has invented a formula where you lose an election but are declared the winner," Macharashvili said.
Furthermore, the deputy notes that the "People's Power" will participate in the local elections, but how and in what form will be revealed in the future.
"Of course, we will participate. How, in what form, and in what way, of course, the public and the media will find out. There’s still time before the local pre-election campaign starts, and as soon as this campaign approaches, we will inform the public about it," Macharashvili said.
